Acceptable Use of Library Computers and the Internet


Internet terminals are provided for public access to the Internet. 

Use is available on a first come, first served basis.  Users shall obtain a ticket available at the front desk.  The ticket is good for one 30-minute session.  If no one else is waiting, the user may obtain another ticket from the front desk.

Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult if they wish to use the Internet. 

Headphones may be checked out for use with the computers. 

Reservations for one 30-minute session may be made ONE day in advance.  If you are ten or more minutes late, your computer time will be made available to someone else if requested.

Respect legal protection of copyright and license to programs and data.

Respect the privacy of other users.

Only one person per terminal.

Printing may be done at fifteen cents per page and is limited to that which can be completed within the allotted time of each session.  Printing will be stopped at the end of that time.  The first two printed pages are free.  Please ask before printing.  All printed copies will be removed from the printer and sorted by library staff only.

Users are responsible for any harm done to the computers.

Failure to use the Internet stations appropriately and responsibly may result in loss of Internet use priveleges.
